Suzanne H.
Stevens is an internationally acclaimed author
and lecturer. She has published seven books. Her titles include THE
LD CHILD AND THE ADHD CHILD: WAYS THAT PARENTS AND
PROFESSIONALS CAN HELP, and CLASSROOM SUCCESS FOR THE LD
AND ADHD CHILD. Originally released in the 1980s, after
selling out eight printings, both books were completely
revised and expanded in the mid 1990s. All the
terminology, gender specific language, and reference to
current legal rulings were updated. The third book
available in hard copy is GETTING THE HORSE TO DRINK: HOW
TO MOTIVATE UNMOTIVATED STUDENTS. This slim volume deals
with such issues as building confidence, teaching verbal
thinking, and creating a thirst for knowledge. Ms.
Stevens has also written articles for several magazines,
and has recently released three e-books. Ms. Stevens has been a popular talk show guest on numerous television programs all across Canada and the US. She has lectured professionally to packed houses since 1982 and continues to be in demand as a speaker and workshop leader at educational conferences. Suzanne is currently in private practice in Winston-Salem, NC as an educational consultant and LD therapist. In addition to her work providing academic support services, her passions are gardening, roller blading, and playing the piano in an old time band called "The Reel Shady Band". Suzanne Stevens is known for her plain talk, and down home humor, as well as the practical advice she offers to teachers and parents dealing with today's children. |
